While looking through Diletta and Andrea’s photographs again, I found myself drawn to the quieter side of the day. The getting ready, the details a glance in the mirror. Friends around you. a few minutes alone before everything begins. Some moments I simply photograph as they happen. Others ask me to stop, look, and build the image. That balance between reportage and a more editorial approach is probably the best way I can describe how I photograph a wedding. Some weddings stay with you for the beauty of the Some weddings stay with you for the beauty of the place. Others for the people, the laughter, the little moments you somehow keep thinking about afterwards. Diletta and Andrea’s had both. Castello Ceconi, the mountains all around us, a sky that kept changing, and a day filled with that kind of happiness that never needs to be staged.
